Jason Franks was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. When he was 10 years old his family relocated to Australia

He writes prose, screenplays, comics, non-fiction and source code. As a side effect of his ill-advised experimentation with coffee and Guinness he will do anything to avoid sleep, including drawing, playing the guitar, and running triathlons. And, of course, traveling.

Franks presently resides in Melbourne, Australia, after five years of exile in the Tampa Bay region of Florida.
